how life will be after the melt it is not known
a disturbing light covers earth
with desolation and hope
water running away creates new space for no one
only Nature is anticipating transformation
This photographic essay is an attempt to foresse the consequences of climate change in different acosystems of the world. I take small scale photographs in the environment resembling huge empty landscapes that will prevail when glaciers melt. I have also photographed members of indigenous communities who sense thet their ecosystem will be destroyed; and trees sensing their own extinction (our extinction).
The selected photographs have been taken in the Colombian tropical rain forest and the Finnish tundra, in several islands of the indian and Atlantic Oceans, as well as in European cities such as Helsinki, Madrid and Paris.
